Updating Your Card

Update your payment card from the Billing page in your portal, on Stripe's secure page. Changing the card never changes or cancels your subscriptions.

Updated

Update your card from Billing. The Payment method panel shows the card on file and an Update payment method button. The button opens Stripe's secure hosted page; you make the change there and come straight back to your portal. Your card number is held by Stripe and never by us, which is why we cannot read it, show it, or change it on your behalf.

What the Stripe page can do

  • Update or replace the card. The new card is what the next renewal charges.
  • Correct your billing contact details.
  • Show Stripe's own record of your invoices.

What it deliberately cannot do

It cannot cancel or switch a subscription. Cancelling stays in the portal, where the written notice the terms require is prepared, shown to you, and sent. That separation is on purpose: a card change is routine, and a cancellation is a legal notice, so the two never share a button.

Changing the card changes nothing else

Updating the card does not change or cancel anything you are subscribed to, does not move a renewal date, and does not alter an amount. It only changes which card the next renewal charges. To stop a renewal, use the flow in Canceling a subscription.

If you do not see the button

On some accounts card self service is not switched on yet. The Billing page says so when that is the case: call 888-252-0251 or open a ticket from Support and we update the card for you.

Your renewal dates and cancellation deadlines stay visible on the same Billing page whatever card is on file, and the reminder schedule ahead of every renewal is in Renewal reminder emails.
