Changing Your Account Email

Need a different email on your account? Invoices, renewal reminders, and legal notices all go to that address, so the field is locked in the portal and the change goes through our team.

Updated

Your account email is more than a login. Under section 20 of the terms, it is where your invoices, renewal notices, and legal notices are sent, so it has to be an address you actually read. It is also the address you sign in with, which is why the email field on your Account page is shown but locked. To change it, open a ticket from Support and tell us the new address; we make the change with you.

What arrives at that address

  • Every invoice.
  • The renewal reminders naming your cancellation deadline ahead of each renewal.
  • A copy of any cancellation notice you send from the portal.
  • Legal notices about your account.

The forwarding risk

Use a real inbox. The Terms of Use are explicit that a forwarding or relay address that stops delivering mail is your risk. A reminder that disappears into a dead forwarder is a reminder you never see, and the consequences of missing it sit with you, not with us. If your company is moving mail systems, change the address on your account before the old one goes dark.

Why the change is not a form

The portal lets you edit your name, phone, company, and timezone directly on the Account page. The email field is different: it is your sign-in identity and the destination for legal notices, so the change runs through our team instead of a self-serve field. A ticket from Support is all it takes to start it.

Keeping the address current protects every deadline we email you about. The reminder schedule is in Renewal reminder emails, and the wider map of the portal is in A tour of the client portal.
