A decline is your bank's decision, not ours. When the bank gives a reason, the review page shows you the bank's own wording; when it does not, you see a plain refusal. Either way, when the screen says nothing has been charged, nothing was, and you can simply try again.
What to try
- Re-enter the card details from scratch. A card that fails to save shows exactly that, and trying another card is the fastest fix.
- Complete the verification step if one appears. Some banks pop up their own confirmation window during payment; closing it instead of finishing it fails the charge.
- Try a different card. Declines are often specific to one card's limits or fraud rules.
- Call your bank. They can see the reason for the refusal in detail we never receive, and they can approve the retry.
When not to retry
Two messages mean stop and call us instead of trying again, and the screen will say so in plain words:
- Part of the order was approved and part was not. Nothing further is charged automatically, but the order is not complete and pressing pay again is the wrong move.
- We could not confirm whether the payment went through. Do not try again yet.
In both cases the screen shows your invoice number. Call us at 888-252-0251 with that number and we finish the order with you. That is the safe path when money may already have moved.
Nothing charged, still stuck
If every card refuses and your bank sees nothing wrong, we can take the order by phone. And if a charge does appear on your statement that you did not expect, read A Charge Looks Wrong? Contact Us First before disputing it with your bank; we fix real mistakes.
For how card payment works end to end, including the verification step, see Paying by Card. For refund rules, the Terms of Use are the authority. Still stuck? /contact reaches a person.
