Your message was not lost. Everything you type in the chat is saved to the conversation the moment you send it. The assistant answers instantly only when it can; when it cannot, you see a short note that our team will reply, and a person picks up the thread during business hours. Leaving the page does not throw the conversation away: reopening the chat brings the transcript back.
AI replies and human replies
Replies in the chat are labeled. An answer from the assistant carries an AI tag; an answer from our team carries the UR Local tag. Not every message gets an AI reply, and that is by design:
- The assistant is capped in how many replies it gives, per conversation and per day. Past the cap, messages go straight to people.
- When one of our team is already in the conversation, the assistant stays out of the way entirely.
- Some questions are simply ones a person should answer, and the assistant is built to hand off rather than guess.
If the chat looks frozen
After a stretch of inactivity the chat pauses itself to stay light on your browser, and it says so on screen. Type anything or click inside the panel and it resumes immediately. If the panel shows a connection error instead, use the Try again button, or reload the page; the transcript survives.
The reliable fallback: book a call
If you want a person guaranteed, skip the wait entirely. The Book a call button at the top of the chat panel takes a name, an email and a preferred time. That request goes onto our team's task list the moment you send it, and a person follows up at the email or phone number you gave to confirm the time.
