Go-Live approval is the finish line of a website project. When you approve the final version and instruct us to Publish or Go Live, the project is accepted and substantially complete under section 4 of the terms. It is also the point where refunds end: a website design or build project is refundable until Publish or Go-Live approval, and not after.
What your approval does
- It accepts the work as delivered against the agreed scope.
- It closes the refund window for the project. No refunds after Publish or Go-Live approval.
- It becomes part of the record. Section 14 of the terms asks for the date and time of any Publish or Go-Live approval in later legal notices, so the moment matters.
Before you press approve
- Use your 5 business days per delivery to request in-scope fixes first. Approval is for a version you have already checked.
- Click through every page on the staging link, on a phone as well as a desktop.
- Confirm the content is final: names, prices, phone numbers, and legal pages.
Deemed acceptance: approval by conduct
You do not have to press approve for acceptance to happen. If you do not respond, the work is deemed accepted when all three are true: 10 business days have passed since delivery, we have sent two written notices asking for your review, and you have put the work into production use. Deemed acceptance ends the refund window the same way approval does.
After approval
Ownership of the deliverables transfers on full payment, with a few standing exclusions, and any handover of credentials shifts responsibility to you. Both are covered in What you own when it's done and Taking over your credentials.
The exact wording of the acceptance and refund rules is sections 4 and 16 of the Terms of Use. If something on the staging site is stopping you from approving, tell us inside your 5 day window and we fix it before launch.
