Inland Empire Towing SEO: Inside the Fast Hook Towing Build

Inland Empire towing SEO has to cover a service area split across two counties and tied together by I-10, I-15, I-215, SR-60, SR-91 and SR-210. This post walks through the one towing build we have documented in the region, the Fast Hook Towing case study, and lines its structure up against the freeways and cities a tow company here covers.

The towing field in Riverside and San Bernardino counties

The U.S. Census Bureau's 2023 County Business Patterns count 185 motor vehicle towing establishments with paid employees in the two counties: 96 in Riverside County and 89 in San Bernardino County. The same 2023 data counts 2,380 automotive repair and maintenance establishments, including 1,155 general automotive repair shops and 422 body, paint and interior repair shops. Both are whole-county counts, and they exclude businesses without payroll.

The population is spread across both counties as well. Census Bureau Vintage 2025 estimates put the two counties at 4,769,007 residents on July 1, 2025: 4,037,300 in 52 incorporated cities and towns and 731,707 in unincorporated areas.

The freeway map a tow company works

A tow company's city list is easiest to plan by freeway:

  • I-10 runs east from Montclair and Ontario through Fontana, Colton and Redlands to the San Gorgonio Pass and the Coachella Valley.
  • I-15 runs north from Temecula and Lake Elsinore through Corona, Eastvale, Ontario and Rancho Cucamonga to the Cajon Pass, then on to Hesperia, Victorville and Barstow.
  • I-215 links San Bernardino, Riverside, Perris and Menifee with Murrieta, where it rejoins I-15.
  • SR-60 runs from Chino and Ontario through Jurupa Valley and Riverside to Moreno Valley and Beaumont.
  • SR-91 runs from Orange County through Corona to Riverside.
  • SR-210 runs along the foothills from Upland and Rancho Cucamonga through Fontana, Rialto, San Bernardino and Highland to Redlands.

Group your dispatch cities by the freeway that gets your trucks there, and treat cities past the Cajon Pass or the San Gorgonio Pass as a separate decision.

Where Fast Hook Towing started

The case study describes Fast Hook Towing LLC as a company with a fleet of modern Ram flatbed trucks and 24/7 availability, and no online presence. Without a professional website, it was missing from searches across a service area of 11 cities, including Riverside, San Bernardino, Ontario, Fontana and Rancho Cucamonga.

The build, step by step

The case study lays the work out in four steps:

  • Speed. A fast website that drivers can save to their phone’s home screen like an app.
  • Service pages. Six services with their own pages: accident recovery, flatbed towing, cash for junk cars, emergency 24/7 towing, fuel delivery and jump start, and long-distance transport.
  • Trust. A 37-photo gallery of real jobs, a carousel of customer Google reviews, an FAQ section, and the company's USDOT number with licensing badges.
  • Local SEO. Service area pages for 11 cities in and around the Inland Empire and a blog of towing articles.

The case study says each service is mapped against those cities, so a search for a service in a city lands on the right page.

The 11 city pages, corridor by corridor

The case study names 11 city pages: Ontario, Fontana, Riverside, San Bernardino, Rancho Cucamonga, Pomona, Chino, Upland, Corona, Moreno Valley and Redlands. Grouped by corridor:

  • West End: Ontario, Rancho Cucamonga, Upland and Chino, with Fontana to the east on I-10 and SR-210.
  • Across the county line: Pomona, in Los Angeles County, just west of Montclair and Chino.
  • Riverside and Corona: Riverside at the SR-60, SR-91 and I-215 interchange, and Corona on SR-91 and I-15.
  • San Bernardino Valley: San Bernardino and Redlands, on I-10, I-215 and SR-210.
  • SR-60 east: Moreno Valley.

By Vintage 2025 estimates, the ten Inland Empire cities on that list had 1,757,721 residents combined. The list leaves out the I-215 and I-15 cities to the south (Perris, Menifee, Lake Elsinore, Murrieta and Temecula), the San Jacinto Valley, the Coachella Valley and the High Desert. A tow company that dispatches to those areas would add pages for them; one that does not can leave them off.

Citations: 80+ directory listings

Off the site, the case study reports that the company's name, address and phone were made consistent across 80+ directory citations. Citation listings are part of every local SEO plan we sell: 30 on Starter, 40 on Business and 80+ on Biz+, each built and cleaned with consistent name, address and phone data. For a tow company that has changed yards, say from Rialto to Fontana, the cleanup corrects the old address on those listings.

What the Search Console results show

The case study reports Google Search Console figures for late June to late September 2026:

  • 119 clicks from 27,000 Google search impressions.
  • 'tow truck near me' at an average position of 8.2 across 350 impressions, with 'towing service' and 'towing' both averaging 8.1.
  • Price-led searches that each produced a click, including 'cheap tow services' (position 3.0), '24 hr tow' (4.3) and 'cheapest tow near me' (7.8).
  • The brand search 'fast hook towing' at an average position of 3.0, with 7 clicks.

The case study notes that these numbers cover Google web search only. Calls, direction requests and bookings that start from the Google Business Profile and Maps are counted separately.

Planning Inland Empire towing SEO for your company

The website in the case study was a separate web design build, listed on our pricing page.

Our local SEO service covers these steps for a tow company here:

  • Your dispatch cities. You give us the cities you dispatch to in priority order, grouped by the freeways above.
  • Audit and targets. We audit your Google Business Profile, citations and review profile, then map Map Pack and keyword targets for those cities.
  • Citations. Directory listings created or corrected so your business details match across all of them.
  • Profile work. Profile optimization and review generation support, plus monthly posts, Q&A, services and UTM tagging on the Business and Biz+ plans. Profile services can mirror the service pages on your site.
  • Coverage beyond the core. An extra service area page each time you add a city such as Temecula, Hemet or Victorville, and an additional Google Business Profile location if you run a second yard at its own address.
  • Reporting. A monthly report on rankings, Map Pack position and traffic.

We also need your website URL and priority landing pages, your primary category and services, and read access to Google Analytics and Search Console.
