Hail damage repair marketing Dallas body shops can rely on has one timing rule: the pages and profile work have to exist before a storm. A hail repair page written the week a storm hits starts with no links pointing to it and no history, and the same goes for a paintless dent repair page or an insurance claim FAQ. This guide covers what to publish in advance, how Plano, Frisco and Arlington pages differ, and where our local SEO service fits.
We have no client in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. The example in this guide is our American Collision & Auto Repair case study, a collision and auto repair shop in El Cajon, California, and it does not cover hail work.
Body shops across the DFW counties
The Census Bureau's 2023 County Business Patterns counted 767 automotive body, paint and interior repair establishments with paid employees across the 11 counties of the Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington metro area. In that 2023 count, Dallas County had 233 and Tarrant County 227, followed by Collin County with 110 and Denton County with 96. Shops with no paid employees fall outside County Business Patterns and are not in these counts.
In the 2023 County Business Patterns count, a shop in the Collin County part of Plano or Frisco shares its county with more than a hundred other employer body shops, an Arlington shop shares Tarrant County with more than two hundred, and a shop in the Denton County part of Frisco or Plano is one of 96 in Denton County. Among that many shops, the hail content you write in your own words, with photos of your own jobs, is the part you control.
Hail damage repair marketing Dallas: pages to publish first
Publish these pages on a calm week, and link each one from your home page and from your collision or body repair page:
- A hail damage repair page. Say what your shop does for hail damage: dent work, panel replacement, paint and glass, whichever you offer. Add before-and-after photos from your own jobs and say how a customer books an estimate.
- A paintless dent repair page, if you offer it. Say which damage your technicians repair without refinishing and which goes to panel repair and paint, in your shop's own terms.
- An insurance claim page. Covered in the next section.
- Area pages for the cities you serve. Plano, Frisco or Arlington, only where you have jobs and photos to show.
The American Collision & Auto Repair case study shows one way to organize this. Its collision and body repair category lists insurance claims, dent removal, frame straightening, glass replacement and bumper repair, and a separate car painting category lists color matching, full paint, clear coating and custom body painting. A hail page fits inside the first category and links to the second.
Insurance claim answers, live before the storm
Write the claim page from what your front desk already explains on the phone, in your shop's own terms. Questions worth answering on the page:
- Do you work with my insurance company, and do I file a claim before I bring the car in?
- How does your estimate compare with the adjuster's, and who talks to the insurer if they differ?
- Can you repair my hail damage without replacing panels, and how do you decide?
- Do you arrange a rental car, and how long do hail repairs take at your shop?
- What will I pay out of pocket, such as my deductible?
Answer each one with your shop's own process and keep the answers short enough to reuse on your Google Business Profile. The American Collision & Auto Repair case study lists insurance assistance messaging for collision customers alongside a Google reviews widget and professional service photography. A claim page is the longer form of that message.
Plano, Frisco and Arlington need different pages
The three cities differ in size, county and roads, and an area page should reflect that:
- Plano. 293,028 residents in the Census Bureau's Vintage 2025 estimates, with 287,323 in Collin County and 5,705 in Denton County. US 75, the Dallas North Tollway and the President George Bush Turnpike run through it, and a Plano page can name the roads customers take to reach your shop.
- Frisco. 236,955 residents in the Vintage 2025 estimates, up from 200,531 at the April 2020 estimates base, split between Collin County (140,753) and Denton County (96,202). The Dallas North Tollway and SH 121, the Sam Rayburn Tollway, cross it. If a Frisco page names counties, name both.
- Arlington. 402,134 residents in the Vintage 2025 estimates, all in Tarrant County, between Dallas and Fort Worth on I-30 and I-20, with SH 360 on its east side. An Arlington page from a Dallas shop should say where the shop is and how customers get their cars to it.
Each page should carry jobs from that city: photos, the damage you repaired and the service you used. A page with no local jobs on it yet can wait until it has some.
Google Business Profile work before a storm
Business and Biz+ include monthly profile enhancements: posts, Q&A, services and UTM tagging. Before a storm, a DFW body shop can use them for:
- Hail damage repair and paintless dent repair listed as services on the profile, if you offer them.
- Q&A entries that answer the insurance questions above in short form.
- Posts showing finished hail jobs from Plano, Frisco or Arlington.
- UTM tagging on the links in your profile.
Starter includes the profile audit, optimization and review generation support, without the monthly enhancements. Review response management, available as an extra, replies to every review in your voice within 24 hours. When you order, name your hail damage repair page as a priority landing page so citations and backlinks can point to it.
