The challenge
Mal Al Sham, founded in 2018 by the Abu Ali family, who immigrated from Syria, had built a loyal local following with 1,500+ five-star reviews but relied entirely on social media with no website. They needed an online presence that could showcase their 60+ menu items, tell their family story, and enable online ordering for delivery and pickup across San Diego County.
What we built
We designed a visually rich WordPress website with professional food photography, an integrated Clover online ordering system with full cart/checkout flow, and a comprehensive digital menu spanning 12 categories. Local SEO targeted “Syrian food El Cajon,” “Mediterranean restaurant San Diego” and 40+ neighborhood keywords.
Schema markup, Google Maps integration, and multi-payment support (Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, all major cards) were implemented.
